Monett, MO. -  Late August/early September is always an exciting time around the Missouri Mule offices, as grand- daughter, Sophia Klaire celebrates her first birthday on August 24, two weeks before older sister, Lauryn Grace celebrates her third on September 8.  Grandpa Supe says, “Happy birthday, darlings.”


Nashville, TN. - Pre-production has started on ‘Rock Along With Mark & Mike', the second effort from funny men Mark & Mike. On the tails of their first effort, ‘Sing Along With Mark & Mike’, a new litter of loony tunes has been penned by the duo.
Described by the Nashville Scene as, “Their Grandpa Jones meets Brave Combo asthetic, produces music equally appropriate for a 6-year-old’s birthday party or drunken after hours revelry”. Recording begins this fall.

Springfield, MO. - Pre-production has started on the follow-up disc to the Garbonzos’ critically acclaimed debut “Eat Our Beans”. Accordionist Chris Slatinsky, washboard/fiddler John Ehlers, and guitarist Tim White have been writing songs, and plan to enter the studio this fall.

Chattanooga, TN. - Palo Duro Records announces the release of ‘Horeshoes & Hand Grenades’, the third and latest album from Trent Summar & the New Row Mob.  Along with Supe on bass and vocals, the Mob also features such rock-n-roll
veterans as Dave Kennedy (Cactus Bros.), Ken McMahan (the Dusters), Mike Webb (Fugitive Glue) and Dan Baird (the Yahoos).
The Mob’s first record of new material in over three years, features two Missouri Mule Songs, ‘Louisville-Nashville Line’ and ‘Pink John Deere’ (both co-written with Trent)

Stockholm, Sweden, Interlaken, Sweden, Vinstra, Norway - These three European cities recently hosted summer festival appearances from Carlene Carter.  The veteran songstress delighted crowds at Stockholm’s, Lida Country Fest, Interlaken’s, 13th Annual Trucker & Country Fest, and Vinstra’s, Countryfestivalen with spirited sets along with her band of Nashville Cats - Supe on bass, Mark Horn on drums, Chris Casello on guitar and Kevin Wells on keyboard and vocals. Look for more dates this fall and winter.

Austin, TX. - Austin’s Texas World Records has recently released ‘Blame It On Love’ by Augie Meyers (Sir Douglas Quintet, Texas Tornados). The disc, which includes Missouri Mule’s “Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday Night”, features long-time friend Meyers, and his distinctive keyboard work.  The Supe-penned tune was given to Meyers years ago, when he came through Nashville with another good friend, and fellow Texas Tornado, Doug Sahm.
